First about the injector. The build quality is top shelf. The machining of the threading is precise for a exact clean fit. This Marinade injector will last you a lifetime. I used this injector to add my own mixture of minced herbs and spices into some chicken breasts I was grilling and the outcome was very impressive on the palette. I found it better to do many small injections over a few large ones. Another use for this injector that I haven't tried yet is for small amounts of pasty fillings. Since this injector is completely stainless it won't hold any spice or herd flavors or scents. And can be used for dounut fillings writing on cakes etc. And because it has a large needle, not to be used by children.

The quality and price of this injector are fantastic. It's heavy. Seriously, it actually surprised me the first time I picked it up. This thing could be used as a dangerous weapon based on its weight alone, besides the fact that it comes with two razor sharp injection needles. Easy to assemble, easy to disassemble. The difference it makes in the meat is immediately noticeable. I made a smoked pork shoulder, and injected it periodically with apple cider and some seasoning. The only complaint I have on this unit could very well be my own fault, so I won't take a star off. I stupidly took it apart and ran it through the dishwasher. After this, it is quite difficult to depress the rubber plunger. I'm guessing there was a little oil or lubricant on the rubber prior to going through a dishwasher. I'm sure it would be fine if I applied a small amount of vegetable or olive oil to the rubber.

This is a very well made item, and should last for years. It is made of stainless steel, and has a very solid feel; it appears to have a teflon seal on the plunger. It easily disassembles for cleaning. It comes with two styles of needles. I've only used the standard needle, with a single hole at the tip. The hole bore is almost 3/16"! They call it the "minced" seasoning needle. From the product description on the back of the box, it says: "the 6" minced seasoning needle has one larger hole that allows you to inject thicker marinades with finely chopped chili, garlic, and other herbs for maximum flavor". This is the one which I used when injecting a turkey recently, and it was easy to use. However, in retrospect, I should have tried the other needle, with the solid tip and multiple small (1/16") holes along the shaft. This would probably have better dispersed the injection solution within multiple locations in the meat. Here is the description for that tip on the back of the box: "The 6" liquid seasoning needle has 12 holes and allows you to inject stock or other liquid marinades deep within your meat to ensure tenderness on a new level". This most likely would be the better and quicker choice for the basting solution which I used.

I've owned two injectors in the past. One was pretty cheap. It got the job done for a Thanksgiving turkey but that was it. The second was more expensive and plastic. It lasted a couple of years but eventually the dishwasher killed it. After buying this injector I don't believe I will be needing another. This injector feels like it will last. It is well made and very sturdy. I especially like the large needle that is designed to inject small pieces of garlic, jalapenos, etc.

After reading the reviews on several different injectors and the the problems with some I spent the money and bought this one. Today was the first day that I used it, I made a cajun spice and mixed it with chicken broth that I injected into a turkey I was bbqing, I also made a brown sugar and maple syrup glaze that I injected into a ham, these were for thanksgiving dinner, everybody was extremely impressed, the flavor went throughout the meats, the syringe worked perfectly. Seems like a really well made product that will last for years. I am already trying to think of some new ideas for it.

Very nice meat injector. It surpassed my expectations because I was expecting a thin stainless steel syringe that flexed. Not so. As soon as you hold it, it feels substantial and of good quality. It came with two needles. One directs marinade through one hole and the other has multiple holes that shoot marinade throughout the meat at different angles. After washing it, I used it on a beef roast and then a 12 lb turkey and the results were amazingly good. I used to stab the meat with a knife and force marinade into the meat until I researched and found this injector. For the price, you're getting a product that feels substantially good and works as it should. Wish all products followed this example.

I bought this for injecting my thanksgiving turkey. I'm on my 2nd year now using this and have to say I love it. Heavy duty construction ...just be mindful of the silicon o-rings on the needles they can tend to fall off easily. My injection recipe is - 2 cups chicken broth - 1/2 stick butter - fresh marjoram/parsley/sage/rosemary finely chopped - ground pepper - about a tbs Yardbird rub Simmer in pot then inject....mix all same ingredients in a butter paste and rub outside.....this has been a hit every year. Of course it's smoked in my Traeger using Apple wood pellets which adds a lot to the flavor but you can definitely taste the difference the injection makes

Injecting my Thanksgiving turkey was a breeze with this stainless steel meat/marinade injector! This is the third different type of injector that I've purchased in as many years. The other ones are not even worth mentioning. I will be throwing them away now! The Mr. Grill injector is easy to use and easy to clean in my dishwasher. I used softened butter with seasonings mixed into it and spooned the mixture into the injector. Then I inserted the plunger and injected the meat with the multi-hole needle. It worked like a charm! The plunger is easy to push and the seasonings stayed where I injected them, instead of running back out of the bird. I can't wait to try this injector on other types of meat!

I was shocked and impressed when I received the package. Packaging was very nice and protected the product well. The Injector needles are really as big as they look, that is what surprised me the most. The injector is heavy and well built, the o-ring on the plunger is a real high quality one, not plastic or even the lower quality black type o-ring. I do not expect that this is one of the few products that I will use for the long term and never end up disappointed.

This is a great product!!! Every year I would find myself rushing around during Thanksgiving at the last minute trying to find an injector. I am a fanatic about injecting my turkey and I always bought the plastic ones, and well, they did not last in my kitchen. I was injecting before it was the cool thing to do.....I started with a large bore medical grade needle and a large syringe. I must say that I simply love, love, love this injector. It is well made and heavy duty, but also easy to use. This one will last a lifetime for sure!!! It has 2 injecting "needles" one for minced ingredients and larger spices. The other has a sharp needle-like tip with 9 holes in the sides of the "needle" part. I have found injecting nirvana and I plan to use this for many, many years to come!!!

Happy with purchase. This kit is 100 times nicer than the plastic luer lock syringes. Lots of exit ports on the meat injector part. The cheap ones only have 3 holes, and this has plenty! It matters. I thought the price was very fair, quality was impeccable, and I have not hurt it yet. My ONLY wish is that it came with an extra rubber ring seal for the plunger. That wouldn't have cost the mfg 4 cents, and this part WILL eventually wear out. Still, a must have for the meat smoker, no matter what device you cook on. Forget the plastic stuff.

If you like injecting your meat with marinates, just buy this and not waste your money on cheap plastic ones. The quality is so good, I think it's stainless or looks like it. It looks like it will last a lifetime except the nylon o-ring inside is the only thing that may deteriorate. After use, i wash it and use some olive oil to make it slide back. I grind all my marinate in a food processor to a thick liquid and the needle is big enough to handle it. For prime rib, besides the regular beef bullion outside, I ground garlic hot water and beef bullion and inject the meat generously inside inch by inch on a layer on from top to the bottom. Warning do this before you insert garlic pieces in the meat or else, those garlic pieces will fly out... I have no use for the needle with multiple holes in it. I made a mistake using it but when the marinate is getting low, there is no way you can suction it to load your injector with all those holes. Highly recomended...

I have long used brining and smoking as a method of seasoning meat. Since I grill quite often and I refuse to buy "thin" steaks, I wanted a meat syringe. I haven't used this on a roast yet, and honestly, that's probably what it's best for, but I have used it on thick cut ribeye steaks. I'll tell you, I haven't laughed so hard seasoning food before. I used the "needle" to draw soy into the tube of the syringe. I injected it into the thickest part of the steak. What caused the laughter was the soy squirting through the fibers of the meat owing to too much pressure from me. I laughed... and laughed... and laughed some more. I know that this wasn't intended to cause laugher and be a comedy toy, but dangit, it sure was fun! This is a darned good syringe. I can't wait to use it on pork!
