I just plugged it in to the iPhone charging cable I had been charging my iPhone Xr with, and then put my phone on the pad, and then my phone charged. Erma Williamson Slim and delicate design, charges relatively slow but satisfies my needs. I use pixel 3 and it loses battery pretty quickly, so I keep this wireless charger on my work desk to keep pixel charged all the time. It does the work. Doesn't overheat, and I only uses a 2.1A charger, on top of that I use a triple port USB cord to charge different devices, with distributed power, it still keeps my pixel 3 charged even with screen on.
Betsy Hammond This is a beautiful design (if you can find beauty in a printed circuit board) with aluminum back and glass front. It feels very sturdy and well built. I bought it for my Pixel 3 so I can listen to music (via the USB-C port which is also the charging port) while charging the phone wirelessly. Charging is slow (a few hours for a full charge) which is not the fault of this product and did not come as a surprise to me. The Pixel 3 uses a proprietary charging protocol for fast wireless charging, other chargers will only be able to charge at 5W. I could have obviously bought a Pixel stand for $80 but is that really worth it? This device meets 90% of my charging needs, and should I ever need a fast charge, then I'll just use a wired charger. I've had no problem with overheating either. Both the charger and the phone just warm up a little bit.
Charlene Steele I like that it shuts off if the phone starts to overheat. Have only had that happen once, just let the phone cool down and finished charging with no further issues. I don't mind the LED because it just takes a quick glance at the charger to see if it is finished charging.
